Imagelist rawformat: MemoryBmp

D

Dennis S.

I've been using Imagelist controls to store icons for several months without
any problems. I noticed that normally when I add icons (*.ico files) to an
imagelist, they automatically are saved there in the MemoryBmp (Memory
Bitmap, i.e., Device Independent Bitmap) "raw format." Today, however, they
are being saved in "Icon" format, and this is causing VS to generate the
following error in some cases (specifically, when I try to import 32 x 32
pixel icons of 256 colors):

Invalid Parameter Used

I already read this Microsoft bug report to no avail:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q316652.

I can't determine what I might be doing differently, or how to get out of
this fix.

I would LIKE to have the imported images end up in MemoryBmp format.

Thanks.
