Image morph from B&W to Color

Hi - I have this idea and I can't seem to make it work.
With my photography presentation, I'd like to morph the
b&w version of the photo into the color version of the
same photo.

I've tried fading in while the other fades out, but
there's a period in between when you don't see the
image. I'd like it to not look like a fade and more like
a morph - without that apparent fade taking place.

Thanks - this is a great help.

LV,

Your using powerpoint 97 or 2000 at a guess.

The best IMHO fade is the random bars transition.

With powerpoint 2002/XP/2003 there is a really smooth fade...that's like the old 35mm projector dissolve

I'm not sure how you expect a morph to differ from a fade in this case..?
If the images are identical except that one is black and white and the other
is full colour then the only thing that will change is the colour
saturation. The effect will be the same as a fade.
The mistake you're making with your fade is that you're fading the first
image out as well as fading the second image in - the first image must
remain at least until the transition to the second image is complete. So
just place image 2 exactly on top of image 1 and give image 2 a fade
transition.
