Image grabber for a TWAIN-compatible web camera

I just bought a Polar 2288 Web Camera, claimed to be TWAIN-compatible.
35 mega pixels.

What freeware could I use to take snapshots? The Polar software that
came with the Web-cam isn't good enough.

35 mega pixels (MP) looks rather unbelievable.
The most advanced (i.e. high-end) digital cameras that I've seen/read
about are 15 mega pixels.
And most webcams are only up to 2MP.

Any graphics software should do.

It's a simple webcam, not those real digital camera (which had reached
800/900 mega pixesl by now).
