If not hover button then what?

Earlier I learned Frontpage hover buttons are not very compatible with
various browsers. So now I am trying to figure out what is the best way
within Frontpage 2002 to create tabs for the links to the various pages
within the site. I like the oval tabs I've seen on a few pages but am also
amiable to the boxes. Is there an easier way within Frontpage to create this
affect besides using the autoshapes feature?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Images or CSS/Images, etc. Autoshapes are not support outside of IE browsers on Windows.

Check for some code on http://javascript.internet.com for button effects
that are cross-browser compatible.
