Hi, all. I am using Acronis True Image to backup the partitions.

I have created Acronis recovery manager in a hidden partition. If there is
serious problem in the system, I can restore the chosen partitions just by
pressing only one key a few seconds after system starts. Then should I creat
bootable rescue media using CD-R in addition? Can't the recovery image
function when the system can not be booted? Thanks.

Have a look at your Acronis documentation. It spells out in
detail how to make a bootable recovery CD.

Yes. Create the recovery CD also. It never hurts to have extra insurance.
