IE8 is Corrupter

I've tried this on two computers. Both running XP-Pro with all updates.
Each time I try to install IE8, the browser gets corrupted. I get a "Data
Execution Prevention - Microsoft Windows" error. All I can do is press the
button "Close Message" then the browser shuts down. I've done this 3-times
now. Fortunately I created an image of my system, therefore, was able to
restore everything.

What's the deal with IE8? Is there a better newsgroup to post this issue.
The only IE newsgroup I can find seems to be for IE6 so I posted here.

Thanks

The link explains how to add an excpetion to the DEP program...
You can also add an exception for the program by using System Properties in
Control Panel. To do this, follow these steps:
1.. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
2.. Click the Advanced tab, click Performance, and then click Settings.
3.. In Performance Options, click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and
then click Add.
4.. In the Open dialog box, locate and then click the program.
5.. Click Open, click Apply, and then click OK. When you are prompted to
restart your computer, click OK.
I did these instructions. IE8 shows up in the Exception box. After
rebooting, I get the same error. Even though DEP has IE8 listed as an
excpetion (Not to run DEP), DEP still runs and I get the same error.

Thanks so far for your help.
