IE8 browser resetting the default email client in the tools section

greetings,

i am having a problem with my IE browser resetting the
default email client in the tools section. and i was
wondering if anyone can help me.

I want to use Outlook instead of outlook express as the
default email program for IE8. I went to the IE
tools>options and changed the default program to outllook,
but it keeps resetting!! when i close the browser it goes
right back to the outlook express as the default...? any
ideas on how to make this stay at OUTLOOK?

Nothing to do with the operating system Ask in one of the IE groups. IE6 is
the latest version.
