IE7 - where do I ask questions about IE7

don't know where to go to ask IE7 question. Please advise. (IE7 opens next
time in small window regardless if I maximize page or drag pg to full size.
How to keep pg full size?)

Thanks

Try selecting "microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general" instead of
"microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser" in the discussions
tree in the left pane (OP is using the web interface at
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/default.mspx)

I'm sorry I must be doing something wrong. There is no link in the left
panel that begins with Microsoft and I clicked on the link you provided but
it seemed a dead end. any other guidance??

As you are already in that horrid, slow web interface, you should be able to
search for it.
If not try the below - its the second one:

Please note - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx

IE7 questions should be posted to the Internet Explorer General newsgroup as
below -

In your Newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you need to use the Web Interface -
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

"Tabbed browsing" properties....

IE / Tools / Options / Advanced 'tabbed browsing settings'

Personally, I pull IE7 out of every machine I come close to... but for those
who demand to keep it, there is a setting that 'resets' text and window
size in each new tab. I also think you can simply turn off tabbed browsing
unless you find it advantageous, and lose the whole issue.

I'm not near an IE7 browser right now, but this may also be located from
a right-click on the IE desktop ICON and selecting 'properties' then 'tabbed
browsing' presferences.

If I am misreading the issue, my apologies... I'm looking for topics related
to issues of my own.... ;-)

Your "From:" field is indicating "(e-mail address removed)" which
normally indicates someone is posting from the web interface which can
be reached by surfing to
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/default.mspx and
clicking the "All groups by name" link near the bottom right corner of
the page. Once at that web intrface there is a list in the left pane
which works MUCH like the left pane of Windows Explorer in "explore"
mode. With the exception of the first line (Discusion Groups Home) each
item in the list starts with "microsoft.public.". Clicking the square to
the left of many items in this list expands the item to show sub-groups.
Scroll down to the item labeled "microsoft.public.internetexplorer",
expand it and then click "microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general"

News reader applications like Outlook Express and Firefox have similar
lists in the left pane. Set the server name for the new news account to
msnews.microsoft.com and port for that account to the port 119 default.
A password is not required for that server (some others might require a
password). Most readers allow you to "subscribe" to the particular
groups you want to have listed in the left pane (some servers have
thousands of groups). MANY people prefer the news reader application
interfaces over the web interface.
