IE7 very slow to load

I use Firefox as my default browser but sometimes I have to use IE7 when
some pages aren't displayed properly. I find all the time that when do
have to use IE7 it loads much, much more slowly than Firefox. Anyone
any ideas why this should be ?

Maybe some plug-ins are slowing its execution. Try disabling any you
don't need.

Hello,

Try running IE7 without add-ons.

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
Internet Explorer 7 (No Add-ons) to start without any add-ons. Try using the
browser and see if problems arise.

If the problem does not occur again, start IE7, go to Tools > Manage Add-ons
and disable all the add-ons and enable them one by one till the problem
appears and you get the culprit.

Since you're a Firefox user, may I point you to IE Tab. It puts an icon in
the bottom-right corner of your browser, which you can click to make
Websites identify your browser as IE.

But of course you should also try the advice given you by others here.
