IE6 / XP Pro problem with 'Trusted Sites'

I'm looking for assistance with a problem where IE 6
appears to have been corrupted in that all sites are
appearing as 'trusted sites'. This has occured post a
spyware / trojan virus infection which appears to have been
fixed with Anti Virus and Ad-Aware.

Looking at all the standard security options in IE there
are no sites listed in trusted sites. I'm concerned over
the security of data being reduced with the current settings.

Anyone any idea as to cause and how to fix????

Thanks in advance

Update for group.

I have found that this is a known security flaw within IE6
and is suspected to occur in other IE browsers but no
confirmed reports as yet.

see link here for more details.

Maybe it's time Microsoft took security seriously!!!

In the registry (regedit), the entry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Internet
Settings/ZoneMap/ProtocolDefaults/http should be set to 3 instead of
2.
