IE6 Won't Browse

I have a Compaq 2190 and when I open up IE and type a URL
into the address bar it won't browse to it. In fact, it
comes up with the traditional screen stating the page
cannot be displayed. All links on my homepage work fine,
as do any searches. If I search for the same page I'm
trying to browse to, and click a link, it works fine. I
had a previous version of IE in which this problem began,
but my upgrade didn't solve it.

Thanks for any help, and if you need any more info, I'd be
