IE6 Weirdism

Whenever I first open IE6 it tries to connect to the default home page but
then just hangs.

But if I open another IE6, the new browser does connect and download the
home page.

This happens consistently.

In other words, to use my browser, I have to open it, discard it and then
open another one!

Weird. And very annoying.

Any idea what's happening here?
