IE6 opens up downloaded files instead of prompting to save.

Hi,
I click a button in a website to attempt to download and
save to a folder of my choice, a .csv file, containing
stockmarket pricing data, and Internet Explorer 6.0 opens
up an Excel spreadsheet in the browser window instead of
asking me where I want the file saved. How can I change
this back to prompting me whether to open it or save it?
I have Windows ME with all available updates.

thanks,

Jasen

Hi Jasen - You need to check this and/or set it for those not checked for
each file type that you download:

Open Windows Explorer and go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to the file type in question, e.g. for .zip
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File, for this example)
Click on Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version, and check the
"Confirm open after download" box.
