IE6 crashes

My IE6 keeps crashing saying needs to close encountered a problem, had this problem way too much the error signature is
AppName:iexplore.exe AppVer:6.0.2800.110
ModName:msvcrt.dll ModVer:7.0.2600.110
Offset:0003328

i have windows xp pro ran spybot s & d adware and shredder any explainations for the cause???thanks

nick, read the reply i got from Ramesh as he cured my IE
crashing with sounds like the same problem;

type inetcpl.cpl under Start Run and then click Advanced
and unclick 3rd party blah blah (restart)

so far so good

That fixed the symptom. You still need to fix the cause.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

Hi,
Have been getting the send error report for the last 3
weeks - same files all of the time - the one you listed
and also toolbar.dll - have not been able to get any
info. Thought perhaps if could d/l individual files might
help, but no one has reponded. Also thought about a total
new d/l for IE6

How to delete Yahoo companion.
Iexplore caused an Invalid Page Fault in module Msvcrt.dll at 0187:78003b5d
"Kudzu Surf" reported that this fixed his error message and problem.
