IE Won't Bring Up Web Pages

I am getting the error message "Cannot find Server" when trying access any website. My PC was infected with adware (Incredifind) which I read will mess up IE. I believe I have removed the "Incredifind" folders and at this point I am just trying to get IE to work. I even tried to download/reinstall IE but I get a message saying that my current version is newer then the download (?). Can't even see IE in "Add/Remove Programs". Any thoughts?

Ken,
Download and run:
LSP-Fix - a free program to repair damaged Winsock 2 stacks:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

Afterwards, check for malware:
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Tip: pasting the URL http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm into the address bar of
Windows Explorer may get you to that site. Otherwise, download LSP-Fix from
another computer. It's about 200 KB- fits on a floppy disk.

Thanks Don. I tried your recommendations and still IE comes up with "cannot find server". I have a case # opened with Microsoft so we will see if that is of any benefit. Thanks again
