IE / Win XP will not remember passwords to websites

T

Tom McCallie

I have gone to Tools, IE Options, Content, Auto Complete
and checked to remember passwords, etc. (every item in
this section is checked).
Checked Ok and restarted computer.
I can go to a website. Type my username and password.
I get the screen asking me if I want Windows to remember
my password so I don't have to type it next time.
I click YES . ( I do not click NO or Do not ask me next
time).
I just click for it to remember it.

The next time I go to the website I have to retype my
user name and password. It is not input for me when I
type the first characted like it used to.

I went to a website and got a fix (something that you do
in the register) but I don't remember the site or the fix.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Tom;

Just a thought
Have you also tried the following : Tools>IE Options>Connections>Settings>type in your password> click ok
