IE Tries to Save Webpages

I have a problem with IE 6.

Every time I open IE, or a program goes to use the IE
module, it tries to save the website instead of displaying it.

I load up IE and get a Save dialog box.

Has something happened in the registry?

This is my guess...

Check your Internet Options control panel... On the General tab... Have you
set your home page to a page in your favorites folder?(This may be causing
IE to update the saved version) or have you set the Home Page to a page that
you have previously saved? Also on the General tab... press the Temporary
Internet Files 'Settings' button and see what your settings for 'Check for
newer versions of stored pages' is (recommend 'Automatically')
