Using XP home, IE 6.whatever: The menu has a place to set my temporary
internet files size and location, which is at the usual place
C:\Document and Settings\Fred\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files.
Only this doesn't REALLY seem to be where they're kept. I can view
this folder and see *maybe* 10-20 gif and jpegs in there even though
the folder claims to be near my 128 meg limit in size - this even with
folders set to SHOW hidden files and folders.
Now, I find a folder under c:\Documents and Settings\Fred\Local
Settings\Temp... and THEN Temporary Internet Files under that, then
Content.IE5 (but I'm using IE 6! I'm so confused!!) with a bunch of
content from my surfing a month ago. This doesn't go away when I clear
my cache. Can I erase this crap? WHY is it *here*?
Why the hell is this so confusing???
