IE Slow to Load Web Pages

Recently IE 6.0 has become extremely slow loading web pages.

I have deleted all temp internet files. I have run Norton
Anti-Virus and Spybot. None of these actions have fixed
the problem.

do you get any pop ups? or random things coming up at any
time? also i suggest Ad-aware SE....I've tried other
programs and Ad-Aware has been the best out of all them
but thats my own opinion...try running Ad-Aware and see
what happens..If your screen ends up disappearing such as
taskbar disappears and icons and everything do not hit
the restart button on the tower...this has happened
because of Ad-Aware it will take about a minute before
everything comes back up....DO NOT PANIC Ad-Aware did not
cause an error.....I hope this solves your
problem....mostly this happens because of spyware and ad-
aware or because you have to many programs open...if
anyone else would like to add on to what I have shared
please feel free to do so.

I'm having a real problem too with IE6 running slow. I do as you do clear
out rubbish,run anti-virus,run spyware cleaning like Adaware & Spybot, but
nothing makes a difference. It sorts itself out eventually but Iusually
switch to other browsers like Mozilla or Opera which bring up pages
instantly while IE is still hanging. This proves its an IE problem not my
internet connection,busy web sites or my PC settings.
