Ie remember windows size

In 98se and IE 6 you coulld just drag the window the size you want and
close it and it would remmeber the size. I've tried it in XP with IE 6 and it
won't work.

I searched and only found ways to make it maximized.

I tried the shift close. Alt close. Ctrl close. File-->close and all the
different combiantions.

What I would like is when I shift click a link that it open a certain size
"not maximized" which is small like 300x300 or whatever.

Any help would be great. If you need more info let me know.

Open a new window from a link that launches one. **Close all previous IE
windows.** Do not click the Maximize button. Drag the edges to resize the
IE window open as large as you want, then while holding SHIFT down, close
the window by the "x". This should maintain the new window size between
sessions.

Or you could try this little freeware utility:

Autosizer

Also tried the program. But it isn't what I'm trying to do.

I want to click the IE shortcut have the main window open Mazimized "which
it does fine" then for that window I want any link I right click open in new
window or shift click open in new window to be a certain size which is small.

Someone correct me if I am wrog, but it sounds like your problem will be in
your registry...you will have to be very careful if you fool with the
registry...
you will want to go to
start
run
regedit
H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software ....click on the + to the left of Software
Microsoft ....click on the + to the left of Microsoft
Internet Explorer
You will want to find the 'Maximized' key....
when you find it, right click on it and click modify...
type in 'yes'
close
restart your computer...

wahlah.... :)
