IE problems under windows xp SP2

I have windows xp home, AMD athlon 998 MHz processor, 384 MB RAM, 32 G hard
disk with 25 G free, DSL internet connection, Gateway select computer.

Since I have installed SP2, I cannot browse 'MSNBC.Com'; when I click on a
link, the new page shows up for a few seconds and then diappears. I have not
had any problem with browsing other web sites that I usually browse. I have
disabled POP blocker for the problem site, disabled xp firewall and installed
Zone Alarm firewall version 5.1.11. None of these steps have helped.

I shall be grateful if anyone can suggest a solution.

one thing you could try quickly is to delete the temporary
Internet files. You'll find that function in Internet Explorer,
Tools, Internet options.
