IE plug in???

Angie

Sorry if this is a double post. I can't find my original
post from this morning.
I keep getting a microsoft window that says: "click ok to
install IE plugin". I click cancel and it wont go away.
8 or 9 times I click cancel and it keeps popping up. I
just downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 6 Browser
so I don't know if this a legitamate IE window or if it is
some tricky adware?
Thanks for your help.

Angie,

It might be an adware. Which site is that?

Prevent spyware from being installed:
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Spyware removal tools - Just a know-how.

Note: Spyware removers are rules-based and are updated very frequently as and when new malware is discovered. Therefore, update both of these tools before scanning, very important.

Lavasoft Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
SpyBot S&D - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder : http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe

Thanks a lot for all the info.
I have Lavasoft. Think I'll give it a run. I'll also
check out that windows help site you posted.
Appreciatively,

P.S. Good web page. Just checked it out. Forgot to
mention in the last post that I was on Mail.com web site
when it happened. I can't remember if it happened
anywhere else but the window popped up there there twice.
