Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106
Windows XP Professional (Fresh start; not an upgrade)
866 mhz
512 meg RAM
IE freezes every so often on my computer. Unfortunately,
it is more random, thus making it very hard to pin-point.
The browser will work fine most of the time. But
occasionally I will click a link and the browser will
freeze. I endtask the browser, and open a new instance
and if I click on the same link again, it will freeze
again. The only way to prevent IE from freezing on that
link is to reboot or use another browser (NS, Opera,
Mozilla, etc). Once one link freezes, it won't be
uncommon for several other different links (different
websites) to freeze as well. I cannot pin-point when it
started either. Is anyone else having this problem? Does
anyone know how to fix it (without reinstalling Windows)?
Thanks,
Jason
