IE needs to close

Every so often I get a msg "IE has encountered a problem and needs to
close". The last 2 times, out of many, it pointed to mshtml.dll and then
flash.ocx . I have checked for viruses and ad-ware and all is ok. I have run
the IE repair tool and the signature verification tool, but it still keeps
happening, about once or twice a day. It sure is getting old. Anyone have
any ideas. I'm running 98SE, Sp1 with all updates.

Try the following and see if it helps:

I checked the site you mentioned. I have already done everything there
except re-load mshtml.dll. I re-loaded it from the Win98SE CD. It replaced
version 6.00.28 with version 5.00.26. That really screwed things up so I
restored v6. I'm just waiting for IE to bail on me again right in the
middle of something important. I know it will.
