IE malfunctioning

I got a problem with my IE, while atapmting to access any website, it works
fine, but if try to download any programm from the site, it gives massege
"Not responding" and application shuts down automatically. (recently I had
had a virus "Bloodhound.w32.EP" and after I had run anti-virus programm, some
of applications did not work, I assume it could be the cause, but I am not
sure. After scan, the virus could not be deleted).

Since IE is tied to the operating system you could try repairing the System
Files (from a run command type sfc /scannow with the CD in the drive and if
that does not work try uninstalling IE and reinstalling it with a reboot in
between.
