IE icon won't open; other problems

When I click on icon to go into IE, it says there's an
error with iexplorer.exe; if I try to go thru "my
computer" i get a similar message about "explorer.exe".
I also can't use the "find" function from Start button or
go to control panel.

Any advice to repair these problems? Other programs work
fine. This just started today, I've had no problems with
IE or other issues at all on my computer in 2years.

This is the work around I have worked out

click start>run type inetcpl.cpl

This opens the internet options

click delete cookies ,files

Click on the programs tab and click reset web settings


then click advanced and uncheck

1. Enable install on demand (Other)

2. Enable 3rd party browser extensions

This will open up the internet explorer and the other
panels .

DO NOT REINSTALL YOUR SYSTEM FOR THIS PROBLEM.
