IE home page is getting hijacked

my ie's starting home page is getting altered (not by me)
and sending me to comcast.net. i can change the home
page to what i want it to be, but every so often it
changes back. does anyone know where the setting for the
home page is stored? i'd like to make that file (if it
is a file) read-only. i've tried using SpyBot, but it
can't find anything that is hijacking my home page. i'm
hoping that this isn't like a bug in IE. TIA.
