IE hangs on displying certain web pages

This is only happening on one of my computers (running Windows 2000).
When trying to go to certain websites, usually ones having some level
of security, such as webmail, etc., IE shows the page that says
"Page Cannot be Displayed....etc". Hitting 'Refresh' a time
or two will bring it up. As I mentioned, this is only happening with
this one computer, so I'm certain it's not a firewall at my ISP or
wireless modem point. I have tried restoring security settings,
cookies, etc. to no avail.

Thier is a hotfix exactly for that except its for 2003 & XP,kb921090.
Howver you might try the "Workaround" remedy as it might be the same
as in 2000.
