IE half-fixed.

I had a problem with IE6.0 creating shortcuts on the desktop when I was
trying to get on the internet. Found a fix for that, but IE still hangs
when I type in a URL in the address bar. Is there a fix for that, too?

What version of Windows do you have?

What version of IE 6 do you have?

Exactly what happens when you type a URL in the Address Bar, or copy a
URL to the Address Bar, and click Go or press Enter?

Do you see any error messages?

IE 6.0 SP2



Windows will attempt to go to another URL. The page will go blank and hang.
Sometimes I will get many multiple pages, even over 60 pages. I have to go
to the Windows Task Mgr to kill the IEXPLORE.EXE instances there. No error
messages, except Windows asks if I want to send a message to Microsoft.
Sometimes I say yes, and sometimes no. Since IEXPLORE is hanging anyway, it
can't send the message most of the time. It keeps trying to open the site,
but never succeeds.
