IE getting very slow, hi-jacked, open in new window not working

IE 6 is really starting to fall apart... or maybe me
trying to fix it. I am running Vshield and have not
detected any viruses.

I reset to default settings and about a day later my
homepage ends up on www.search-space.com

I try to right click on a link and open as new page and
the browser locks up and nothing happens.

I have tried uninstalling on the add/remove programs and
even tried deleting all the IE folder in the program
files folders...just so I could install an older version
of IE...

If I right click on a hyper link and save target as on my
desk top, I can then open that page and navigate for a
while before things digress to an ultra slow pace again.

Any suggestions or do I just send this brand new hunk of
junk back to Dell....
