HELP!!!!
I hope someone can help me as this is driving me nuts!
My problem is with IE6 on a windows xp home machine.
When I double click on the internet explorer icon, the
Browser opens as normal. On the bottom of the IE window,
it says connecting to ip address then www.msn.co.uk (My
home page). The green status bar moves to the first notch
and the freezes. After about 1-2 mins, it eventually
opens the page and then the browser works as normal.
If I open another IE window (even with the first still
open), the same thing happens again. It freezes at the
same point and then after 1-2 mins, works fine.
This also happens with any other application that trys to
access the internet, like windows media player. The
application will hang for the same ammount of time, then,
eventaully open and works as normal.
My pc has just started doing this last week and I have
not installed any other software in the mean time.
And I have broadband so it not the speed of the line, as
everything works fine after the 1-2 min.
Any help would be very very welcome!
Thanks
Stuart
