IE Favorites folder, .mht saver, high contrast

Hi,

There are 3 problems with my IE 6.0.2800 running on XP Home with the
latest security updates and patches installed:

a) IE favorites folder suddenly got relocated - if I open the
favorites menu it shows the folders inside the C:\windows folder
complete with all the folder icons etc. The original bookmarks in the
C:\documents and settings\Username folder remain, but this is annoying
that I am unable to use the Favorites functionality anymore.
b) Save Web archive (MHT) - This functionality somehow got corrupted
and now I am unable to save any page as MHT and the previous web pages
that I were able to save as MHT now open the code inside MHT file
instead of displaying the page as saved. MSKB only mentions this in
one context - that of those pages saved with Excel 2000, but I am
unable to save ANY page as mht.
c) High contrast invocation - On startup, IE opens always in low
contrast mode, and to properly display colors/fonts as intended I need
to switch to high contrast mode, I have tried repairing IE,
re-registering core dll's etc, to no avail.

Any ideas on how to solve the above loss of functionality (2) and one
minor annoyance as above are most welcome

Thanks
L. Mohan Arun

One post-one answer is my policy.

You can change the value of Favorites in the Registry in these
two keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders
