Just by clicking on the IE icon I get "internet explorer has encontered a
problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconviniece. Then I get the repost
box that crashes also and I need to use the task manager to shut everything
down.

I have searched knowledge base and found info on this subject but after
review it does not apply to my problem because I looked and have not found
the problemed programs that they mention on my pc.

I have the administrative rights to my pc, I have 3 other users 2 of wich
are my young daughter and son. This problem occurs only when they are on
their own account and the other 2 accounts are fine. I susoect they did
something but how can I find out if I cannot access IE?

Can I reinstall IE without the risk of loosing a lot of thing in my
account...does anyone have a solution?

My kids would really like to go back to their favorite sites to
play...especially sponge bob...lol...they keep asking me every day!!!

Hi,
It's likely that a toolbar, BHO or other browser add-on is causing this.

[XP SP2] From IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. Disable non-microsoft add-ons to
see if one of them is the culprit. You can also manage add-ons from Control
Panel> Internet Options> Programs> Manage add-ons. And, from Add or remove
programs, uninstall toolbars from Google, Yahoo, etc. You can always
reinstall them later if they're not the cause.

ToolbarCop from http://windowsxp.mvps.org/toolbarcop.htm may help identify
BHOs and add-ons.

A more thorough search for malware (hijackers, spyware, etc) may be
necessary.
