IE address bar problem

I have XP HOME and IE 6.0.

My history folder works fine (when I click it I get the history)
My autocomplete works fine (when I start typing a URL, it completes it based
on the previous sites I've visited starting with the letters I type).

But, here's the problem:

When I click the down arrow to the right of the address bar, nothing
happens. In the past, it would list recent sites visited and I could pick
one of those if desired. It doesn't do that anymore.

Any ideas?

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW
