IE 7 Won't open some links

Ever since I installed IE 7, I can not access some parts of a web page. For
eaxmple when ever i go to www.amazon.com or www.borders.com (same company) I
can see teh initial page but when I do a search, I get the "Internet
Explorer cannot display the webpage" page. This happens also when I go to
www.expedia.com. when choose "my account" I get the same thing.

I have Windows XP, IE 7, Norton personal Firewall 2006. I do not have the
firewall in windows enabled. I do not have the pop blocker from windows
enabled either.

Thanks for your help,
Randy

It could be the firewall blocking the site access.

To Flush DNS

Click Start, Run, type:

IPConfig /FlushDNS [Press Enter key]

Did you disable the firewall? That was intended as the first of two
suggestions, though I didn't word it very well.

No the first time I tried your suggestion. I tried it this time and still no
luck. I have in the past disabled the firewall when I had IE 6 and things
worked fine. Not this time though.

You'd probably have better luck posting to an IE78 ng. But here are
some sites that might help:

I looked through two pages of these archived Google Groups articles, but
didn't find much other than the MSKB article shown above. You might
change the search parameters and might have better luck.
