IE 7 .0 Home Page no start, get Search results instead

When I load IE 7.0 it does not go to the specified home page but is coming
back with a whole pile of search results.

I'm not doing a search, I want it to load my home page.

Anyone know what gives??

I don't understand your reply to Antioch. He gave you the correct
newsgroup to which you should post questions about IE7 -
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general. This newsgroup is for the XP
operating system and you have an issue with IE7.

Before you post in the IE7 newsgroup, spend some time reading through
the posts there. There are a huge number of posts so it would be smart
to start by going to Google Groups Advanced Search. Use a search term
that describes your problem, constrain the search to the IE7 newsgroup
and the date to very recently.

And no, I'm sorry but I don't have your answer or I would tell you
now. ;-)

First click on a blank tab.
Put in something useful like www.google.co.uk into the address bar and bring
up the site.
Stay in the tab.
Go to the top icons.
Use the drop down alongside the little house.
click Add or Change Homepage ...
you will be offered 3 options.
select "Use this web page as your only home page."
Click the yes button
close IE 7 and re-open
voila!

Yes, it is MSs way of making it really difficult and hoping you will fade
and accept their offering.
