I guess you don't understand beta's. The standard way is to format and
reinstall. You were warned not to install it on a production machine.

Frank, you're right I don't understand beta's. but in case you don't know or
somebody else ask how to remove it, just mark "show Updates" in ADD or REMOVE
PROGRAMS and then remove IE 7.0
You did not answer my specific question, I remove it already.
Thanks.

I did not know. My IE7 is on Vista and I'm having trouble with that machine
dropping the dialup connection too soon for me to do much.

Don,

You saved my donkey. I was unhappy with the beta as well as it would only
work on XP without any plug ins. Anyway i spent hours trying to unistall it.
Something as simple as marking "show updates" and you reminding me that was
there was all it took to return me to 6.0.

Helpful reminders and tips not "I told you so's" are what makes self help
forums so helpfuf...

Hey Frank,
That is a REALLY HELPFUL of a MS-MVP to say ... 'Didnt you read the EULA?'
What a shame!

Donaldo is asking a legitimate question and any help towards that is what
makes a good forum... I am sure everybody knows the pitfalls of installing
BETAs in a producton machine...
Maybe Donaldo is NOT on a production machine, but just wants to un-install
it...

Geez man! Someday open source software will get you guys un-employed!

Peace!

zoooter,
For your information, MS-MVP's are not MS employees. The are knowledgeable individuals, that help the common user like me with MS issues in these newsgroups, on a voluntary basis. Microsoft has given these inviduals, in a form a recognition of this, the title of MS-MVP.

And by the way, the world of Open Source, has barely made a dent against Microsoft, especially with US home users, and the PC makers that sell to them. See the following article:

Linux PCs: Customer service or lip service?
