IE 6 sp2 not working

When a link that opened a separate window was clicked the new window was blank.

Used on-line help, found Articel ID 281679.

Followed instructions, now IE does not work at all.

Window opens when IE is launched, then disappears and an error message say
that IE can not download (string of values) from MSN (my default page).

And it says IE was not able to open site.

When I try to enter though other links, all the pages are blank and none of
the commands work.

Hi,
If you re-registered mshtml.dll try this from MVP, Ramesh Srinivasan...
Go to Control panel> Add or remove programs. Check the "Show updates" box at
the top.
1. Uninstall Q912945 update and reboot
2. Rerun "regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll"
