IE 6 slow startup

Hi,

When loading IE it loads up but takes time to actually load the home page.
IE loads and you can see the buttons and menus and in the bottom left where
you would normally see the status of the web page it is blank and then after
a period of time it displays it is finding the web site and the web page
then loads as per normal. The problem is the period of time from loading IE
and it deciding it will start loading the home page.

I have checked the advanced settings against a working machine and they are
the same.
I have checked using PING and NSLOOKUP tools and the responses are all fine.

Are there any ways of debugging IE to find out what it is doing? Does anyone
have any ideas what the pause is?

Thanks in advance for you help.
