IE 6 shuts down

IE 6 with all recent patches and fixes loade shuts down.
Always gets a message Internet exlorer has encountered a
problem and must shutdown. After sending error report it
shuts down.

This is a brand new computer and MS XP.

Any help would be nice, I an disliking XP and IE6 less
each day.
