IE 6 problem

I have a new problem that just cropped up -- don't know
why. Any web site, including web mail with attachments,
that requires download, won't download -- even attempts to
update IE6 from MS site. When I click on the attachment
or download, a window pops up with "IE cannot
download...IE unable to open site...site unavailable or
cannot be found. Try again later." But this is now every
site including Hotmail Yahoo Mail, etc. What
happened?

first, don't open attachments. second download spybot from
yours or another computer and update it and scan on easy
and remove spyware. safer-networking.org
or ad-aware from lavasoftusa.com update and scan.
