IE 6 not allowing access to hotmail

I use IE 6 to access the Internet. My OS is Windows XP home. I have had
problems in the last two weeks suddenly bringing up my hotmail account. I am
able to log on th My Msn, but I get "hotmail currently unavailable". It also
does not download into my Outlook, but my other e-mail accounts do. I can
view my hotmail on my computer at work, but not home. Also, I have noticed I
cannot view video online(such as comcast.net's The Fan) and some links (such
as Yahoo! news articles) take a very long time to bring up and some of those
end up as error messages. I have not been able to get any help from hotmail
techs, I've tried a registry cleaner and don't know where to go from here.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

See this site for troubleshooting steps w/ problems logging into Hotmail:
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers_10.htm#hotmail

Also, totally clear your History and TIF files per this site's instructions:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

Accessing Hotmail with OE or Outlook has always been dodgy. New customers
cannot do it as part of a new security measure, and longer-standing
customers will have this functionality cut off sometime in the future. See
the "Cannot access my free Hotmail account from Outlook or Outlook Express"
Help item on Hotmail's site.
