I'm running Windows NT and IE for NT 2 (this is a work bdc)
and need to upgrade the browser but it won't allow me to
download any software. I need to find a complete IE
install somewhere and burn it to CD to upgrade the browser.

However, I can't find one on the Microsoft web site, only
service packs.

Does anyone know where I could get ahold of IE anything?
anywhere?

Thanks,

SEB

A service pack is what you want.

Actually Alan, his problem may be more than just IE6sp1.
IE6 has a requirement for NT4sp6a and at the very least
in order to download anything from the download site he
would need ActiveX support which didn't come until NT4sp3.
(Since he mentioned IE2 I suspect he just installed from
an NT4 CD.)

I suggest he order an IE6sp1 CD. It has in it NT4sp6a.
That makes a nice easy bootstrap procedure when you
want to install NT4 into a new partition.

Thanks for the heads-up Robert.

I have never seen NT and don't know the terminology. I didn't twig
that "IE for NT 2" was IE2. (IE2 is only a vague memory, best
forgotten)
