IE 6 "Cannot Find Adobe Acrobat

Steve

I'm running Windows XP and IE V6. When I go to a website
and click on a link that would cause a .PDF file (Adobe
Acrobat) to open, I get the error message "Cannot Find
Adobe Acrobat". Acrobat V5 is installed as well as the
lastest Acrobat Reader. I've tried reinstalling Reader
several times, but to no avail.

I can open .PDF files normally and can also open them
when they are attachments in an email message. It's only
when I attempt to open one from a website that it fails.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is the option enabled in Acrobat to integrate with the browser?

Is the Acrobat BHO (browser helper object) installed so IE knows to use it?
For this, you'll need a utility to see what BHOs have been linked into IE.
BHO Demon is good. The Acrobat BHO will be listed as "AcroIEHelper.dll".
