Hi -
The message "Internet Explorer cannot find the Active Desktop HTML file"
pops up now. I have tried a few things but I have no admin rights on my
laptop.

Could the updates help me? Are you aware of a a solution?

Many thanks in Advance
M.

Hi M,

Windows Version?

I am using XP. Right Click on the desktop there should be an option to Allow
Active Content. Disable this option.

XP does not have this option so I am unable to confirm this.

If you know how to use the Registry, the key responsible for the desktop
display is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop

Regards.

Hi Rob.
I am using XP and I don't have the option either and I don't know what the
registry is! I have a look and get back to the forum is I don't get anywhere.

Thanks.
Marie
