Ever since I installed IE 6.0, I get prompted with
the 'Install on Demand' window telling me that I must
install the 'Java virtual machine' to display the page
correctly. The weird thing is that I have the Microsoft
JVM on my machine (Microsoft (R) VM for Java, 5.0 Release
5.0.0.3810).
If I select 'Cancel', Java Applets do not start on any
pages in that instance of the browser.
If I select 'Download',
'http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/getosver/javaxp.asp'
is launched in a new browser. The applet starts and
everything is fine. Unfortunately, I get this popup every
time a page with an applet is loaded. The download page
informs me that I cannot download the JVM anymore (of
course that should be fine since I already have it
installed!)
Any ideas on how to stop this annoying behavior would be
appreciated. Thanks.
