ie 6.0 browser closes automatically on certain sites

any help appreciated when accessing a couple of web sites
my ie browser closes completely without any error
message just closes one site is a yahoo game site and
a couple of others, I have checked settings, hosts file
and cleared cache and cookies I have trnd pc cillin and
no viruses and ad aware and no junk please help

I.E. closes, 3 possible reasons.

Java issue?

Tools/internet options/advanced/Microsoft VM
....only tick the JIT compiler box and leave the Java boxes un checked
(default)

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit is with these
tools.

I could not access certain sites, even though I was having no trouble
accessing secure sites. I asked a friend who told me to close my
popup killer. I did that and had no problem after that.
