Hi pilgrim

in the box's properties, does the "column count" number match the number of
entries in the "column widths"?

Hi Jimaldo,
can't find column count or width in properties for the datpage so
presume you mean in the table, here the column count is 1 and the column
width is
2.54cms I wil try later wth both these equal.
thanks for help

my mistake, i thought you were working on a form. there are no corresponding
"column count" etc. for datapages.

can you post more information about the fields you are trying to display on
the datapage and about the purpose of your dropdown list. i.e. are they from
a table or query...when a user makes a slection from the list, what is
supposed to happen etc.

Hi Jimaldo, well I think I have cured it, I had a lucid moment just before
sleep and thought what do I need a lookup list in the database for so I
turned it into a text field then on the datapage used the propertys to link a
dropdown list to the field on
the database and low and behold it works.
just my next prob know, datapage looks and works great but I can't cut and
paste
data onto it(we are a garage and this is a customer parts order formso I need
to paste VIN numbers) any ideas chap
thanks for your time it really is appreciated

might be worth looking at the possibility of cutting and pasting your
customer info. into a seperate table in your database, and binding that your
page.

alternatively, if you're already inputting your customer details into, say, a
spreadsheet, it might be possible to link or import this as external data,
which would give ou access to it via your database

cheers
