Upgraded to ZA pro recently due to ZA free edition does
not support ICS. But the client machine (98se) is still
having problem accessing the net through the host machine
(xp) Have add the IP address on the trusted zone and
still doesn't work. Even set the internet and trusted
security zone to medium and still no go. Wierd thing is
it even block the IP address of my client machine.(98se)
What have I done wrong? Please advise as I have just
started using ZA pro and still not used to it yet. thanks
in advanced!

Hi Murphy
You also have to tell zone alarm pro that it's behaving as an ICS server.
Open ZA and select the Firewall option. Select the Main tab and click the
Advanced button at the bottom.
Check the This Computer is an ICS/NAT gateway.
Enter any other info you need.

First make sure that all computers have all critical updates
installed from the Windows Update site.

Then turn off the XP ICF on all Network Connections on
any XP computers and uninstall Zone Alarm completely
by using its own uninstaller.

Then make sure Internet Connection Sharing is working.
If it is working, then install Zone Alarm Pro and carefully
select the correct options as it installs so that ICS will be
supported.

If ICS is not working, then first run the "Setup a home or
small office network" wizard again from the XP computer
that has the Internet Connection and then make sure that
ICS is working and then install ZAP as above.
