icons

Some of my icons for certain programs are missing. Example..i have a folder
with quictime files in it. They all use to have the icon Q(mpeg4), now they
all have the one that windows uses when it doesnt know what program to use to
open the file. the file does open with quicktime when i click on it, just
the icons are missing.
some of my other ones are missing too....Adobe acrobat and some of my media
player ones(but i think i fixed those). I did try to change the icon under
properties but that didnt work. I did have Nero 7 installed and then
uninstalled it and i think that is when the missing icons started...how can i
fix this?

You should be able to open a folder and change the icons and file associations.

Open a folder > Tools > Folder Options > File Types. Locate the desired
programs and make the changes.

Try repairing the file associations with MVP Doug Knox's fix.
